The SA Terroir Wine Awards is an annual competition which was created to define the various terroir types of the Cape
The awards lunch this year was held at Lanzerac in Stellenbosch
In the foyer of the Lanzerac Hotel, guests gathered to enjoy a glass before the Awards presentation and lunch
All the winning wines were displayed in the restaurant
and were available for tasting in the foyer and, later, to enjoy with lunch
Boplaas winemaker Margaux Nel with a glass of her Colheita and the other award winning dessert wines
Bennie Howard opened the proceedings
followed by Chairman Christo Pienaar
and wine judge Conrad Louw CWM
