Best Value Wine Awards

Held at Forest 44 near Stellenbosch aerodrome
Our favourite award winner. Table Bay MCC Blanc de Blanc from Ultra
There were some good and some interesting snacks
Slivers of mushroom pizza
Superb salmon sushi rolls
Bobotie spring rolls
Steak topped with onion jam and hollandaise
Vegetable wraps
Nice light pastry puffs with onion jam and blue cheese
Rather overcooked pea pancakes topped with a sliver of smoked salmon

We particularly liked the Keolenhof  Koenenhoffer Sauvignon Blanc at R30, The Pearly Bay might go with hot food but is quite sweet.
John liked the KWV Concordia Chardonnay, Lynne found it a little flat.
