The best photographs from Main Ingredient's first 12 years

Lynne's great-uncle, James Jarché, published a book of portraits he had made entitled "People I Have Shot". This is a selection of birds, animals, places and landscapes that I have shot since 2002 in the beautiful land that I love so much - and one or two other places

There was a devastating fire on Table Mountain. After helping friends whose home was threatened, I came home to help Lynne finish preparing that week's MENU. This was taken at 11 pm that night, from our deck, of the fire still raging on Signal Hill behind our house and it was that week's photograph. An early digital pic, which could be used immediately. I don't miss film

Before 2005, photographs were made on Agfacolor Vista colour negative film and scanned with an AGFA D-Lab. After that, they are all digital
